This Privacy Policy describes how ClearNest: Storage Cleaner ("ClearNest", "the App") handles information when you use it. It is written to match exactly what the App's code does — not what a generic template says a cleaner app might do.

ClearNest is an on-device storage-cleaning tool. Scanning, hashing, and cleanup all happen locally on your phone. The App does not require you to create an account, and does not collect your name, email address, or phone number. The sections below explain exactly what each permission is used for and what, if anything, ever leaves your device.

The App does not request camera, microphone, contacts, call log, SMS, or precise location access, because it doesn't use any of them.
Your Settings choices (language, whether reminders are on, ad-personalization preference, auto-scan frequency) are stored only in local app storage on your device (Android's DataStore), never on a server we operate. Uninstalling the App removes this data.
At the time of this policy, the App does not integrate a live advertising network or analytics/attribution SDK — no ads are shown, and event logging exists in the code but does not currently transmit data to any third party. If that changes (for example, when a real ad network is integrated to support the App), this policy will be updated first to name the specific networks involved, what they collect, and how to opt out, before that version ships.
Because processing happens on-device and we don't operate an account system, there is no server-side copy of your data to request deletion of. Uninstalling the App deletes its local Settings storage. Files you clean through the App (junk, duplicate photos, etc.) are deleted directly from your device's storage when you confirm a cleanup — this cannot be undone by us, so please review the selection screens before confirming.
ClearNest is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region) and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
If how the App handles data changes — most notably when real advertising/analytics SDKs are integrated — we will update this policy and change the "Last updated" date above.
